THE FLEET

Pat races a 1994 Yamaha TZ 250F1. Th TZ125 and TZ250 machines are not sold for street use anywhere in the world as they are made for closed-circuit use only. The TZ250 has a v-twin, water cooled, 249cc 2-stroke engine coupled with a fantastic light-weight aluminum chassis and cassette gearbox. It has only the most minimal wiring and amenities to it - powervalves for the carbs, tachometer and water temp guage only. It weighs around 240 lbs and makes around 70 hp at the rear wheel in stock trim. (Yielding a fantastic power-to-weight ratio and the flickability is insane) Sadly it is not legal for many racing classes, but is one hell of a blast to ride...

Pat's TZ250 is basically stock except for EBC brake pads. There is no internal motor work done and it uses stock carbs and pipes (at present!). Pat uses VP fuel, an EK 520 chain, wears AGV gear, and runs Dunlop race tires.

Andy races a 2004 Honda CBR 1000RR. This liter bike is the culmination of Honda big-bike technology, coming from the original streetbike CBR1000 Hurricane and CBR 900RR of the 80's-90's, to the CBR 929RR, and CBR 954RR, and finally the MotoGP RC211V heavyweight. The high-revving linear power of this inline-4 cylinder motor, with two fuel injectors per cylinder, is coupled with a great frame and very original rear suspension design (Pro-Link), and of course Honda reliablity.

Both racers have adequate machines to win races, and like everyone else, should know there's only one faster way around the racetrack:

MORE CONTROL AND CONFIDENCE

 LEADS TO LESS BRAKING

AND MORE GAS ,

MORE OVERALL SPEED !!!

MORE OVERALL LAP SPEED

DROPS THE LAP TIMES,

THEN LAP AFTER LAP LEADS TO GLORY.
